Do yourself a favor and listen to audiobooks when you drive

Audiobook addiction – listen to audiobooks when you drive

For some reason I have this insatiable desire to continuously improve. It burns. Sometimes I get apathetic but for the most part I’m constantly trying to find ways to do better, be better… you know… leave my mark on this wonderful world.

After reading James Clear’s book – “Atomic Habits” – I’ve made it a point to start putting audiobook CD’s in my beat up Audi on the way to and from work.

I’ve listened to some classics… Paulo Coelho’s “The Alchemist”… comes to mind…. and my addiction to audiobooks just keeps growing. Listening to audiobooks when I drive has been super helpful.

Focus on your thoughts

I used to listen to sports talk radio and then this thought kept creeping into my mind… “What you focus on – expands”

Think about that.  Not just for a minute…. breathe it in and really think about it.

WHAT
YOU
FOCUS
ON….

EXPANDS!

It’s true. When you focus on family – you tend to get better family relationships. When you focus on your fitness levels – you tend to perform better with your body.

The deeper I dig when it comes to our thought processes and our minds, the more I appreciate how powerful our brains really are.

We are natural creators

We create our outcomes.  Our thoughts lead to action. Our actions lead to habits. Our habits lead to character. Listen to audiobooks when you drive and you’ll discover this more and more.

I’ve also heard that logic stated like this: Our thoughts lead to feelings which lead to actions which lead to results.

It doesn’t matter how you look at it. The bottom line is OUR THOUGHTS ARE POWERFUL.

No wonder why so many wise men through the ages have tried to help us understand the importance of our thoughts.

A few days ago I started thinking about this blog…. what is the purpose? Why should people read it? What do you want to focus on?

Blah. Blah. Blah.

NOBODY FREAKING CARES!  Think about it!  Nobody cares.

What’s in it for me?

People care about one thing, “What’s in it for me?

That’s it!  So if you are an entrepreneur – and the definition of an entrepreneur is someone who solves problems for a profit – then you should have no problem helping others understand what’s in it for them.

So… if you read CharlieGold.com – you should know that:

#1 – Each blog post is designed to help you think at deeper levels. Who knows, maybe a random thought or blog post will help you question your processes better.

#2 – Each blog post are unique, specific thoughts that lead to possible better outcomes for each of the folks who take the time to read.

#3 – Our brains aren’t freaking robots. We don’t go from 1, 2, 3, 4 in a logical, linear fashion…. Our brains are living organisms which means we go 1, 8, x, 745, a, b, p, l, 4 in a frenzy… to and fro, here and there.

In conclusion, you need to stop reading this post and get your butt moving. Do something! Find someone to help. Make the world better. Drive home points of emphasis to others of how you provide value.

You are alive! That alone makes you valuable…. even PRICELESS.

Plug in an audiobook when you go for a drive. Listen to audiobooks. Make it a habit. You’ll see the world differently. You’ll see yourself differently…. and you’ll grow.
