If you say, “I hate Tom Brady” – you’re a nincompoop

Don’t ever let me hear you say, “I hate Tom Brady.” EVER!

There’s legends – Paul Revere, Daniel Boone, Moses, Zeus – and then there’s TOM BRADY!  THEE TOM BRADY.

The greatest football player in the history of the NFL. Period.

"I hate Tom Brady"
If you hear, “I hate Tom Brady” – the person who said it is a nincompoop…
“I Hate Tom Brady”

Which brings me to this subject – have you ever heard a buddy of yours say, “I hate Tom Brady.” Then that same buddy goes on and on about how he’s overrated, or how he got lucky being with Bill Belichick, or how the 2000 NFL draft was his luckiest day.

I simply retort when someone says, “I hate Tom Brady” with….

“You’re a nincompoop!”

Remember how your thoughts lead to feelings and your feelings lead to actions and your actions lead to results?

Now, in 2019, that’s a startling thing to say.  When I said this to my Tom Brady hating buddy, he looked at me with a level of confusion. Then he asked the question I was waiting for – “What’s a nincompoop?”

Ha! Got ‘eem!

I then went full Merriam-Webster dictionary mode on his ignorant, halfwit, cretin brain and yelled….

“A foolish or stupid person!”

Well, obviously he didn’t take to kindly to that insult. Because we were good friends, I could thoroughly explain my position.

If you say, “I hate Tom Brady….”

#1 – You said, “I hate Tom Brady” which makes you ignorant.  Why would anyone hate someone with so much success? Haters gonna hate.

#2 – You are ignorant because you should say, “I LOVE Tom Brady.” Think about it – do you want to love a failure or a success?

#3 – When you put someone down, you’re actually saying much more about yourself and your own values than you are about someone else.

How can you hate Tom Brady? How??!?!?? He’s a wiiiinnnnnnnnnner! A champion!

Don’t tell me about Aaron Rodgers stats. Don’t tell me about Drew Brees age. Don’t tell me about Peyton Manning stats either.

All 3 of those guys are Super Bowl champions too!  Why would you hate on them either?

I think Tom Brady wife, Giselle, said it best when she said, “He has a very pure heart. He’s very naive, almost like a child. That is my favorite quality about him.”

Enjoy Super Bowl 2019

Just remember:

If you’re cheering for the Los Angeles Rams – GREAT!

If you’re cheering for the New England Patriots – AWESOME!

Just don’t be an ignorant shmuck and say, “I hate Tom Brady.”  That says more about your character than it does about his.
